Staff of Professorship for Reliability and Risk Engineering
Additional information
Leonard graduated from RWTH Aachen University with a Master's degree in business engineering, majoring in energy engineering. Afterward, he received a PhD from Technical University Berlin, where his research focused on energy system modeling. In April 2023, he joined ETH Zurich, and in February 2025, he joined the lab for Reliability and Risk Engineering.
Leonard's work focuses on modeling macro-energy systems, with a particular interest in climate uncertainty and decomposition methods. He also coordinates the activities of the subgroup for macro energy transitions.
