Anna Varbella attended the 7th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety in Bologna and presented her work on 'Cascades-risk informed Transmission Expansion Planning by Behavioral Cloning.'
Alfredo participated in the AMBITION program

We are thrilled to share that Alfredo Oneto had the incredible opportunity to participate in the fully funded AMBITION program in Nairobi over the past two weeks. He joined 30+ Ph.D. candidates coming from IDEA League institutions along with students from Strathmore University and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

We were honored to host Prof. Maria Papathanasiou today and would like to thank her for her fantastic presentation on the utilization of artificial intelligence for complex supply chains. Using the example of a supply chain for personalized medication, she illustrated the different ways in which traditional optimization methods and artificial intelligence can be used in synergy. We look forward to continued exchange and future collaborations.
Linda at the MSCA science-policy pitch competition

We congratulate Linda Brodnicke on her successful participation in the MSCA science-policy pitch competition, which took place as part of the MSCA Presidency Conference earlier this week. During the conference, 15 finalists, who were all MSCA fellows, presented their research that aims at bridging the gap between science and policy-making. The jury selected Linda as the winner in category "contribution to wider EU policy priorities".
First injection of Swiss CO2 dissolved in seawater started in Iceland

For the first time, Swiss CO2 mixed with seawater was injected into the basaltic subsurface in Iceland, as part of the DemoUpCARMA project. The Reliability and Risk Engineering Lab contributes to the success of the project, demonstrating CO2 utilization, transport, and storage.
